As the title suggests, the subject is bit philosophical, but still, I thought to pen it down in my blog. For me, every day is a new day with a new experience in all aspects either be personal or professional. At the end of the day, before I sleep, I always have many unanswered questions that keep my mind very much engaged. A novel profession like that of scientists gives me the opportunity to think, discuss and debate. Although I find this profession too challenging and lively but very often I do get into a very difficult state, which is a state of confusion and fear.
The question that I have to face on a regular basis are,
1. What and Why should I do something today?
2. Is this the right way to do it?
3. What will happen if I fail? Are there any alternative? Do I have any backup?
and many more...
Although I am not very qualified to write a blog on such a topic but still believe myself as a novice researcher eligible for sharing the experience. At the moment, I believe that in research, there is no clear answer to everything, we can make an educated and calculated guess to start the work, then we keep on iterating them until we converge to the desired solution. However, this approach may lead to failure more often than success, depending on our experience. But still, whatever be the outcome, it will teach us something that will pile up in our head as an experience. So, I believe, if we stop fearing the mistakes, and religiously iterate our guess one after the another, then we may get the positive vibe for work. This may also develop the skill to generate the solution and deal with the problems.
PS: I have written this small blog in the context of the scientific research problem
